DorselHuff has provided the following step-by-step directions to guide you through
your Quest. We recommend reading all the steps before beginning the project.
1. With your group members, choose one of the following poems to analyze.
2. As a group, TPCASTT the poem using the provided graphic organizer. Make certain
to fill out the organizer fully, offering insightful ideas, showing you are able to analyze
and appreciate complex texts.
3. Choose one group member to transform the TPCASTT into a readable, fluid script.
Carefully consider what transitions you will use as you move from one "slide"
or chunk to the next. For help on using transitions, click here. There is a chart at the
bottom that will help you find the right transitional word or phrase.
Here is an example of a script that uses good transitions. We have highlighted the
transitions for you.
4. Choose a media format to present the group's analysis. As a group explore each tool
below and carefully consider which tool works best to present the group's analysis.
5. As a group, decide what sorts of images work best to present your ideas.
Choose one to two group members to search for images that fit your analysis.
You might consider searching the following sites:
If you are doing any sort of slideshow, the images will make up your slides.
If you are using a webpage or wiki, your images will mostly likely decorate the page.
Be a responsible user of digital content: Cite the sources of all photos you use.
If you choose to include music in your final product, you might want to check out these sites:
6. Have the photo-finders create citations on easybib.com. Make sure your group incorporates these citations, either through a slide created in
powerpoint or to a link.
7. Choose one group member to format the project. In other words, this person
should upload and organize all the slides if the project is a slideshow. If the project
is a webpage or wiki, this person should provide the links to the different portions
of the analysis.
8. Finally, the script-person should add the analysis to the images, either by recording
voice through a mic or by typing in text on the page.
9. Check that you have met all of Dorselhuff's requirements by using the checklist we have provided.
10. Include a link to the project on the DorselHuff wiki so that we can easily locate it. Be
prepared to present your analysis to a panel comprised of DorselHuff executives and
other applicants.
